Marine Fish Conservation Network Mourns the Loss of Betty Moore

Arlington, VA – The Marine Fish Conservation Network today learned of the passing of Betty Moore, cofounder of the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, a longtime supporter of the organization’s work. Robert C. Vandermark, executive director of the Marine Fish Conservation Network, released the following statement:

“The Marine Fish Conservation Network and our ocean conservation community are very sad to learn about the passing of Betty Moore. The Network values our partnership with the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation and the success it has brought in fulfilling our common mission to ensure healthy marine ecosystems and abundant fisheries now and into the future. We mourn the loss of Betty Moore, a tireless advocate for our natural world, and we express our deepest condolences to her family and loved ones. Her love of the outdoors and fishing has built a lasting legacy that will continue to benefit all of us for years to come.”
