Arlington, VA – The Marine Fish Conservation Network announced today a new configuration in its leadership, effective immediately, to better balance the workload and needs of the organization. Robert Vandermark will transition from his role as Executive Director to Chief Financial Officer and Development Director to oversee the Network’s financial operations and fundraising goals. Tom Sadler will transition from the Network’s Deputy Director to Chief Executive Officer and will oversee the coalition’s campaign and programmatic operations.

The Network is deeply grateful to Robert Vandermark for more than a decade of his invaluable leadership as Executive Director, and we are thankful for his expertise in securing the necessary funding and support for the coalition’s mission. His new role will ensure a strong financial foundation for the Network, now and in the future.

Tom Sadler is a seasoned leader with a strong background in fisheries conservation advocacy, grassroots organizing, and communications. As Deputy Director, he has already demonstrated the knowledge and skills to guide the Network’s strategy to promote healthy oceans and productive fisheries. The Network welcomes him into his new role.

As our oceans, fish, and fishermen face some of the greatest challenges in decades, we need the voices and leadership of the Network’s unique coalition now more than ever to ensure a sustainable future for our marine resources.
